Generator is a blue, compact atmospheric water generator. Several pipes are attached between the cylindrical water tank and the filtration system box outfitted with black wheels, blue fenders, red valve levers, and a black drain pipe with a thin stand.

Generator can be unlocked at player level 7, and costs 2,000 coins.

Functionality[]

It is a support item, meaning it can be used to support units on the field with direct control by players over where it is placed. It requires rage to be deployed.

Generator is a simple high health stationary unit with a high preparation time and rage cost. Every fifteen seconds the Generator will spawn twenty five courage. Upon being destroyed by an enemy, it will explode in a fire pool dealing damage.

Perks and Abilities[]

The Generator is sent from outside of the bus, able to be put almost anywhere the player chooses by being placed directly on the battlefield. Upon application, a machine will be placed on the area the player selected. The machine will act as an obstacle once placed on the field, stalling most enemies until it is destroyed, where it will explode and leave a burning fire pool in its wake. The fire will destroy any corpses on the floor within its radius, preventing dead units from turning and/or stopping certain zombies from reviving. After 15 seconds, it will spawn a 25 courage pack in front of itself while taking seven self-inflicted damage.

Because Generator takes damage every time a courage pack is produced, it has a theoretically finite amount of uses. However, because of its high health, it will likely survive the entirety of its deployment even without upgrades, unless hit excessively by external damage sources. When Generator loses the last of its health by producing courage, it will simply break down without exploding.

If a mission has rainy weather in it, Generator's fire pool (and only fire pool, not explosion) will be extinguished immediately, losing out all of its fire-based damage potential. Unlike Molotov Cocktail, however, the brief fire pool is still capable of destroying corpses.

In addition to the aforementioned properties, Generator possesses the following undocumented resistances:

  • Poison resistance grants it immunity from the poison debuff that causes damage over time.
  • Full knockback resistance prevents it from being pushed back entirely.
  • Explosion resistance prevents it from taking damage caused by grenades and fiery explosions, though this does not apply to blood-based explosions(E.g. Fat Zombie, Slob).

Gameplay[]

Main Campaign[]

Generator is best used on missions where constant spam of units is important. In these missions, it is recommended that all Generators are deployed close to the bus to keep them safe since they have a long preparation time of 60 seconds.

On the opposite note, Generators can instead be deployed to the farthest end of the battlefield to be used as a shield to protect certain units. Thanks to its large health pool, Generator can take several hits from enemies and even a few of Charged Zombie's charge attack. Additionally, the explosion and fire pool can damage or take down groups of enemies after being destroyed, similarly to Red Barrel. However, other rage units, such as Red Barrel itself, should be used alongside with this strategy since Generators have a long preparation time and cost quite a bit of rage.

Welder is capable of repairing the damage done to Generator. Thanks to his repair perk, he can heal it up to 30% of its current base health. Since Generator's base health, is already high to begin with, the healing done to Generator at any level will be substantial, allowing it to keep producing more courage packs and take several more hits. Additionally with his ability, Welder can provide a shield to Generator, protecting it from harm.

Skirmish[]

While Generator is unavailable in League, it can be summoned through Specops' special ability. While seemingly useless due to it's ability to spawn Courage being completely unusable in the gamemode, it is actually one of the strongest deployable that can be spawned. Unlike other deployable units like Empty Barrel or Red Barrel, Generator is seen by enemy units as a target, and will be attacked. This can potentially be huge for a team, as units like Sniper Polina or Sheriff Charlotte can use Generator as a makeshift shield to protect themselves from harm. While unable to protect from multiple attacks, any second of time bought is essentially priceless in a mode such as Skirmish. It's resulting explosion is quite underwhelming however, as most case scenarios will result in Generator being shot, rather than being attacked from point blank.
